Well, Congrats, 1-st year Geo students!
You are in a good place: you get to solidify your Algebra skills before jumping into Geometry full force. That's a good thing! You will be scheduled to retake your Algebra (Common Core) Regents in January 2017 (unless you have already achieved a 75...). Make sure to attend the Saturday Academy for it this year. |
EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES
You receive extra credits on a regular basis, when your classroom participation furthers our learning. This means that you are exceptionally supportive of your partner(s), you ask questions that help us clarify the mathematical ideas discussed in class.
Bring this Tutoring Log for every After-school tutoring session. Extra Credit is awarded at the end of a marking period, when this form is submitted to me. But remember: the value is not in this credit, but in actual support you received.
Saturday Academy participation also brings Extra Credits. You will be given an attendance slip after every session. Collect them all together, and submit them to me at the end of the marking period (signed and stapled together) .
You will receive extra credits when you Go beyond the scope of your home works and use any creative way of demonstrating your understanding of the topics and connections between them. It could be a Mind Map, a PREZI, a Short Summary Video or an Info-graphics on the material we studied in class.
